SOCCER

Oct. 15, 2011
I was finally able to watch one of Andrew's soccer games.  Andrew & Carson's games were at the same time pretty often this season and we also missed quite a few games.  I always watched Carson's games since Chad helped coach Andrew's team again this year.  It looks like it was a beautiful fall day from these pictures but it was quite cold and windy but at least the sun was out!

This particular weekend we had rented out our house to some Kenyon families.  (have I mentioned doing that before?)  It was a whirl wind weekend.  We had to be out of our house on Thursday afternoon.  We stayed overnight in town at the Super 8, definitely a step down from The Holiday Inn Express we usually stay in during these events.  The boys went to school on Friday and Chad went to work.  Alex and I hung out at the hotel as long as we could on Friday morning.  Then we picked Carson up from preschool and he choose to eat at Bob Evans...he loves their chocolate chip pancakes.  There isn't much at Bob's that I can eat so then we went to Subway and met Chad their for lunch.

Carson and I went to the library to kill some time that afternoon.  We then picked Andrew up from school.  We went over to the community center so the boys could change clothes for their photo shoot with Wiles Photography on Kenyon campus.  Then we grabbed supper at Wendy's drive thru and ate it in the van waiting for Chad to finish work.  From the office we headed to West Liberty to hear Chad's brother's choir sing.  We spent the night in West Liberty at Chad's parents.

We left to head back here on Saturday morning for the boys' soccer games.  Carson's game started at 9:00, we left W.L. around 7:00.  After both Carson and Andrew's games we ate lunch and headed to Columbus.  We stayed at a hotel there, the boys enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool while Alex and I headed to Old Navy and Target.  :)  We went to three different restaurants that evening to accommodate each of our needs!  Me- Chipotle do to avoiding the top 8 + corn for Alex, Chad - Nothing but Noodles for his pre-race meal, The boys - McDonald's because we are weak and gave in.

Sunday morning Chad ran the Columbus half marathon.  It went well, this was his 4th half marathon.  The boys and I headed back to Mount Vernon because they were singing in choir that Sunday morning.  We were all very relieved to get back to our home after those 4 days!!  Living out of your van isn't that much fun!
